About

Born out of a desire for golf footwear that breaks the mold - inclusive, stylish, and downright fun! Founder Gustav Schauman had a vision to disrupt golf's stuffy and cliquey image, creating a brand that appeals to modern, sneaker-loving golfers from all walks of life. Inspired by the classic coolness of golf legends like Arnold Palmer, Goatlane aims to bring back that timeless style, which has unfortunately given way to nylon shirts and plastic shoes.

Gustav, a lifelong golf enthusiast and sneaker aficionado, felt that something was missing on the golf course. He wanted to bridge the gap between contemporary fashion and golf, catering to the new generation of golfers who crave something different. Goatlane does just that - delivering fresh, stylish looks without compromising on performance and comfort. Their shoes not only look amazing but also provide the perfect combination of style and functionality.

Founded in 2020, Goatlane brings together his love for sneakers and his investment experience. Developed in collaboration with PGA Tour and LPGA Tour professionals Henrik Norlander and Alana Uriell, their footwear combines street fashion aesthetics with the technical requirements of a professional-standard spikeless golf shoe. Designed in Stockholm and crafted with the finest materials in Portugal, Goatlane shoes offer unparalleled quality and style.

Goatlane is here to inspire you to participate in the best sport there is - golf! They embody the principles of quality, heritage, and exclusivity, infused with modern style. Their goal is to inspire you to be the best version of yourself, both on and off the course. Check them out today.

  • All tied at the top: Xiyu Lin and Hyo Joo Kim are tied for the lead after the first round of the US Women's Open at Pebble Beach. Both players carded impressive four-under rounds of 68 to take a one-shot lead. Irish amateur Aine Donegan and compatriot Leona Maguire are in contention at three under. The top-ranked players, Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko, struggled on the challenging course, with Korda shooting 76 and Ko posting a disappointing 79. Xiyu Lin, still searching for her first LPGA win, is focused on the historic opportunity to play at Pebble Beach and is determined to make it a memorable week. Golfing legend Annika Sorenstam, who received a special invitation, had a challenging round but fought hard despite shooting 80.

  • Disqualified: Natthakritta Vongtaveelap was disqualified from the US Women's Open after her caddie used a rangefinder on multiple occasions. The violation of the rules led to her disqualification, despite being even par through five holes. This incident follows a similar case on the Korn Ferry Tour. Vongtaveelap had shown promise in her rookie season but struggled to make cuts in subsequent events.

  • Trouble: Brooks Koepka openly criticized his Smash GC teammate, Matthew Wolff, for his work ethic and attitude in the LIV Golf circuit. Wolff, who has struggled since joining LIV Golf, withdrew from a tournament and has had mixed results recently. Koepka expressed frustration with Wolff's lack of effort and quitting during rounds. Despite being a talented player, Wolff's potential seems wasted. Wolff, on the other hand, stated that he is focused on playing well for himself and the team. The strained dynamic between the two players has become apparent, with Wolff removed from Smash GC's social media accounts. As of now, Wolff has earned significant earnings this season and ranks higher in LIV's standings compared to Koepka's brother, Chase.

  • Know the rules: The 2019 modernisation of the Rules of Golf allowed golfers to remove loose impediments in bunkers. However, if removing an impediment improves the conditions affecting the shot, it incurs a penalty unless done reasonably. Removing sand while removing a loose impediment is allowed. Golfers should ensure they are removing loose impediments and be cautious to avoid penalties.

  • Worth a look: Rose Zhang impressed with a near chip-in during her round at Pebble Beach, reminiscent of Gary Woodland's iconic shot at the 2019 U.S. Open.
