About
Golf has long been known for its traditions, but some aspects of the game have remained stagnant for far too long. Enter Skins Golf, a brand that is leading the evolution of golf gloves and accessories with a fresh and innovative approach. Say goodbye to plain white gloves and the boring old towels - Skins Golf is here to bring style, creativity, and charisma to your golf game.
Founded in February 2022 by Don Magrane, Skins Golf set out to transform the golf glove industry. For decades, golf gloves have followed a predictable formula - plain white, lacking personality, and with little to no variation. Skins Golf is on a mission to change that. They have introduced a collection of cabretta leather golf gloves that not only offer the highest quality materials but also showcase unique style and creativity.
When you slip on a Skins Golf glove, you'll immediately notice the difference. The combination of premium materials and thoughtful design ensures both amateur and PGA professionals can trust in their performance. The gloves provide a comfortable and secure fit, allowing for optimal grip and control during your swing. With Skins Golf gloves, you can stand out on the course and make a statement with every shot.
The rise of boutique golf glove brands has brought about a flood of options, making it challenging to stand out from the crowd. Skins Golf has found a way to differentiate themselves by combining style and function in their glove line. Their basic white gloves are enhanced with a stylish spandex band around the wrist and between the fingers, offering a wide variety of styles based on the same model. This approach not only provides comfort and flexibility but also allows golfers to express their individuality on the course.
But Skins Golf doesn't stop at gloves. They have also recognised the need for innovation in other golf accessories. Traditional golf apparel has often been seen as restrictive, heavy, and lacking style. Skins Golf has addressed this issue by producing a collection that not only performs exceptionally but also prioritises comfort and unrivaled style. Their apparel offers unrestricted movement, ensuring you can swing freely and confidently. Whether you need layering pieces for cooler weather or versatile attire for any golfing occasion, Skins Golf has you covered.
One often overlooked component of a golfer's bag is the golf towel. Their designer microfiber golf towels not only offer better absorption and cleaning abilities than traditional cotton towels but are also significantly lighter. Say goodbye to the plain black towel and elevate your game with a towel that matches your style and performance.
There you have it guys be sure to head on over to their site and see what all the fuss is about.
Brooks back on top
Brooks Koepka started strong in the final round of the PGA Championship with three consecutive birdies, establishing a lead. However, Viktor Hovland put up a tough fight, and it wasn't until the 16th hole that Koepka secured his victory. Hovland's bad choice of club saw him bury the ball into the lip of the bunker, leading to a double-bogey and dashing any chance of him winning.
Koepka's victory was particularly meaningful due to the hard work and injuries he faced since his last major win unsure if he would ever be able to compete at that level ever again. This victory sees his name elevated to one of the best in the modern era. Only 19 players have won five majors or more. Jack Nicklaus with 18, Tiger Woods 15 and Walter Hagen 11 being the most notable.
Additionally, Michael Block, a club professional and new cult hero, delighted fans with a slam dunk hole-in-one on the 15th hole. He finished in a tie for 15th place, securing his qualification for the 2024 PGA Championship. Also in a fantastic turn of events, the Charles Schwab Challenge and the RBC Canadian Open have both offered sponsors exemption into their tournaments.
All eyes now shift to Zach Johnson, the captain of the US Ryder Cup team, to see if Brooks or any LIV Golf player will make the cut. It’s country Vs country and if I were playing I would want Brooks on my side.
