$15 million in the bank but is 2023 Tommy’s year? 💰

Tommy Fleetwood finished T-3 with Jordan Spieth at the Valspar Championship, earning a cheque for $477,900 and pushing his all-time PGA Tour earnings over $15 million. Amazing right? Maybe not because despite having 112 career starts, Fleetwood has yet to secure his first PGA Tour win. However, he has won six times on the DP World Tour and ranks 10th all time on its Order of Merit, earning just shy of $40 million Aussie Dollars. Fleetwood carded a final-round 1-under-70, his second score in the 70s in eight career rounds at Innisbrook Resort’s Copperhead Course, and his second top-10 finish on Tour this season. Fleetwood shared the lead with Spieth and Adam Schenk at 9 under until he made a bogey at the par-5 14th hole and couldn’t manage another birdie. Fleetwood is optimistic about his chances of winning multiple times on the PGA Tour, saying "When my day comes that will be great."

Lucky shots 🍀

Golf is a game of skill, precision, and strategy, but every once in a while you just get lucky. Every person reading this would have been apart of a fortunate chain of events that lead to a miraculous birdie. Check out some of these million to 1 shots.

  • 2015 Victorian Open Pro-Am Richard Green holes a par 4 ace! His first albatross and he didn’t even get to see it!

  • 2015 Brandt Snedeker gets a double shot of luck at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. How do you like your whiskey Brandt? On the rocks.

Rickie Watch 👀

BDR commonly known as Rickie Fowler made a quality start to the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, taking down current world number two. Rickie Fowler, seeded No. 49, made a comeback from an early 2-down deficit to defeat Jon Rahm. Despite a bogey at the par-4 first, Fowler matched all of Rahm's remaining birdies and avoided trouble on the eighth and 11th, where Rahm made a pair of bogeys that brought the match back to a tie. Fowler won the 12th with a birdie and the 15th with a par, as Rahm again made bogey. Fowler needs a top-8 finish to qualify for an invite to the Masters, and this upset on day one is a good way to start.
