About

Get ready to tee off as I introduce you to the story behind Highland Golf Co.! Founded by two golf-loving neighbours, Billy and J.J., this company is all about combining their skills with their passion for the game. So, come and join me as we delve into the exciting journey of Highland Golf Co.

Billy and J.J., who quickly became friends on the golf course, decided to channel their career expertise into a fun business venture. Over a couple of cold ones, they brainstormed and realised they could create a business that not only allowed them to be creative but also provided the perfect excuse to spend more time out on the golf course. And just like that Highland Golf Co. was born!

The name "Highland" pays homage to the Scottish Highlands, the birthplace of golf. Inspired by the rugged beauty and rich history of Scotland, the Highland Cow became the face of their brand—a symbol of strength and uniqueness. And you would just have to agree, it makes one badass logo!

But Highland Golf Co. isn't just about creating awesome golf gear and accessories. Billy and J.J. believe in sharing the joy of the game with others. That's why a portion of all proceeds goes towards supporting two incredible causes:

  1. The First Tee of Upstate SC: By supporting this organisation, Highland Golf Co. aims to introduce more young golfers to the game, teaching them valuable life skills through the sport. It's a win-win situation!

  2. The First Tee of Greater Charlotte: Another cause close to their hearts, Highland Golf Co. wants to empower kids in the Greater Charlotte area by providing them with access to golf and its numerous benefits.

So, when you purchase from Highland Golf Co., not only do you gear up with top-notch golf products, but you also contribute to these worthy causes that help grow the game and make a positive impact on young lives.

  • Who’s playing Oak Hill? The second major of the 2023 season as the world's top golfers gather at Oak Hill for the PGA Championship. Unlike the U.S. Open and The Open, the PGA Championship doesn't include amateurs and has a field of 156 golfers based on 13 qualification criteria and special invitations. This year, Oak Hill East will host the PGA Championship for a record-tying fourth time. - Find the full list of players in the link.

  • 18 members of the LIV Golf League are among the competitors at Oak Hill Country Club. Notable players include past PGA Championship winners Martin Kaymer, Brooks Koepka, and Phil Mickelson, along with recent major champions Bryson DeChambeau, Dustin Johnson, Patrick Reed, and reigning Open champion Cameron Smith. Mickelson returns to the PGA Championship for the first time since his historic victory in 2021, becoming the oldest major champion at the age of 50.

  • Jason Day, once ranked as low as 175th in the world, has made a remarkable comeback, currently sitting at No. 20. He recently secured his first PGA Tour victory since 2018 at the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, propelled by six top-10 finishes this year. Day credits Tiger Woods for reaching out during his own struggles, providing chipping advice that sparked Day's interest in swing coach Chris Como. With Como's guidance, Day rebuilt his swing and overcame back issues that had him contemplating retirement.

  • Can JT join Brooks Keopka and Tiger? Defending champion Justin Thomas is optimistic about his game as he prepares for the PGA Championship. Despite a string of inconsistent results and a drop in rankings, Thomas sees positive signs in his recent performance at the Wells Fargo Championship. He believes he has turned a corner and is starting to see improvements, indicating a potential resurgence in his game at the upcoming tournament at Oak Hill. Brooks Koepka and Tiger Woods stand alone in the stroke play era as the only players to successfully defend their PGA Championship titles. Justin Thomas has an opportunity to join this exclusive club and become one of only six players to win the event three or more times. A victory in this year's championship would mark a historic achievement for Thomas.
