Spotlight - MNML Golf Co.

About

MNML Golf CO was founded in January 2020 by CEO and Founder, Sam Goulden, a former college golfer and professional golfer for five years. Goulden's coaching philosophies gained popularity in 2010, and he has now transitioned to a virtual platform.

The idea for MNML Golf CO started on a hotel napkin and evolved into a professional tech pack, and eventually a prototype. Today, Goulden and his team work out of a studio space in Redondo Beach, California.

At MNML Golf CO, they believe in the power of simplicity. As Goulden says, "As a modern minimalist, I believe in eliminating clutter and filling my life with only the essential." And this philosophy is reflected in their products, which are sleek and stylish with a focus on functionality.

They also offer a Trade-it-Forward program, where you can do your part in minimizing waste and helping others. Simply purchase your Trade-It-Forward V2 Bag and send them your old bag (in working order), and they will take care of the rest! This program is an excellent way to upgrade your golf gear while also doing something good for the environment.

Innovative products and passion for the environment make them a brand that’s worth supporting. Check them out today!

Snippets

  • The PGA Tour plans to continue with limited field, no cut events in 2024 as part of its Designated Event Model, despite some backlash from players. The model aims to bring together the best players for high-stakes tournaments, but the proposed no-cut events have drawn criticism from players like James Hahn. Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus have reportedly been in talks with PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan to retain cuts at their events. The success of the no-cut events will be evaluated and compared to this year's format.

  • Wyndham Clark won the Wells Fargo Championship, which secured him a spot in the PGA Championship and qualified him for the U.S. Open via the top 60 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He also moves to fifth in the FedEx Cup standings, which makes him eligible for all of the 2024 designated events on the PGA Tour. Clark's win also earned him a trip to Hawaii for the Sentry Tournament of Champions and guaranteed him a spot in next year’s Players Championship. He will also have his first trip down Magnolia Lane for the Masters.

  • Thailand dominated at the Hanwha Lifeplus International Crown golf tournament, only losing one match over four days. The Jutanugarn sisters were undefeated in both four-ball and foursomes, with Ariya winning the inaugural MVP award. They defeated Australia in the final match, winning two singles matches and the first-ever foursomes match in event history. Patty Tavatanakit, who looked up to the sisters as a kid, expressed her excitement for Thailand's future in golf. Team USA clinched third place, while Sweden took fourth.

  • Jordan Spieth has withdrawn from the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament due to a wrist injury, which was confirmed by doctors. Spieth has made 11 career starts at the tournament, with his most recent performance being a runner-up finish last year. He has not mentioned his status for next week's PGA Championship, but stated that he will evaluate his recovery on a week-to-week basis. Spieth has not yet won the PGA Championship, which remains the only major championship he has yet to win.

  • A number of LIV Golfers, including Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace, are reportedly considering resigning from the DP World Tour, after Ryder Cup legends Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood, and Ian Poulter resigned last week. Remaining DP World Tour members who play on the LIV Golf tour could face fines of up to £500,000 ($AUD934,000+) for doing so without the Tour's permission. Henrik Stenson, Martin Kaymer, Paul Casey, Brandon Grace, and Charl Schwartzel are still members of the DP World Tour, but doubts are increasing as to how long they will remain members given the punishments they are facing.
