Weekend Round Up
Valspar Championship - Produces first-time PGA TOUR winner
Taylor Moore secured his first PGA TOUR victory at the Valspar Championship on Sunday, earning himself a place in his first major championship, and not just any Major. It’s the big one, the one everyone wants, the fast approaching, the 87th Masters. The 27-year-old shot a 4-under 67 on the final day to finish -10 under for the week, one shot ahead of his nearest competitor Adam Schenk who unfortunately found himself behind a tree on the 18th leading to bogey, and two clear of 13-time winner and past Valspar champion, Jordan Spieth. Spieth had been hoping to close out his first victory in nearly a year at the challenging Copperhead Course, where he has had previous success. Although Spieth played a more steady round than in the previous day's erratic performance, his 70 in the final round was not enough to secure the win. Moore’s victory at the Valspar Championship is projected to move him near 50th in the Official World Golf Ranking and a cheque of $1,458,000 to go with it.

Taylor Moore -17 🏆

Lee secured the individual title in his second start with the LIV Golf League, winning in a four-man playoff against Carlos Ortiz, Brendan Steele, and Louis Oosthuizen at The Gallery Golf Club. Lee's victory, his first since 2015, came with a birdie putt from off the green on the third playoff hole securing a $4 million dollar payday. Meanwhile, Fireballs GC, led by captain Sergio Garcia, won the team competition by four strokes over 4Aces GC. Ortiz's impressive 6-under 65, the best round of the day, propelled Fireballs GC to the victory.
Though second-round leader Marc Leishman faltered early — Maybe because of that huge rattlesnake near the tee box. If that doesn’t Rattle you I don’t know what will? — A number of players had a chance to win the individual title, including Charles Howell III, who was looking to go back to back. However, Oosthuizen emerged as the front-runner but struggled late in the round with some unlucky bounces, leading to a four-way tie at 9-under. Lee eventually secured the victory in the playoff, with Fireballs GC's Ortiz contributing to his team's win with his strong showing.

About: Mulligan Golf was born out of a love for golf and a desire to shake up the traditional norms of the sport. Our founders were inspired by the casual, laid-back atmosphere of a 3 par course, where golfers could play in a relaxed setting without the strict dress codes and rules of more traditional golf courses.
During their time on the 3 par course, our founders noticed that many of the golfers were wearing fishing/tattoo shirts with alternative designs that reflected their personal style. They realised that there was a gap in the market for a golf clothing brand that catered to the casual golfer and allowed them to express their love for the game while staying true to their unique sense of style.
And so, Mulligan Golf was born. Our brand is all about alternative golf, with designs inspired by the punk and alternative subcultures. We're not your typical golf clothing brand – we're for the golfer who wants to stand out from the crowd and make a statement on and off the course.
Our clothing is designed with the casual golfer in mind, with comfortable, breathable materials that allow for ease of movement and maximum comfort. We believe that golf is a sport for everyone, regardless of skill level or experience, and our clothing reflects that philosophy.
At Mulligan Golf, we're more than just a clothing brand – we're a community of golfers who share a love for the game and a desire to break free from the traditional norms of the sport. We're proud to offer a range of clothing and accessories that allow golfers to express themselves in their own unique way.
So, if you're a casual golfer who wants to bring some alternative style to the sport, join our movement.
