Snippets

  • Ricky Fowler to join Tiger Woods and Rory McIlory’s tech infused TGL golf league. The more I learn about TGL the more excited I am to be a part of it. I love the idea of inviting fans to watch golf within an environment that is very similar to other primetime professional sports,” said Fowler.

  • LIV vs LIV: The famous LIV (The Fontainebleau Hotel) nightclub in Miami Beach has filed a notice of opposition to trademark applications by LIV Golf. The filing says the proposed trademarks are “highly similar in sight, sound, meaning, and overall commercial impression” to those of the nightclub. Both entities use the Roman numerals LIV to allude to the number 54.

  • 45 year old Peter Wilson currently world number 881 hit successive rounds of 59 at Lang Lang Golf Club in Victoria in what could be the first time in the sport's history a player has shot back-to-back 59s on a full-length course. Wilson’s achievement doesn’t get him into the list of players to shoot below 60 on either the PGA Tour or DP World Tour, non the less, very impressive.

  • Scottie Scheffler releases his much anticipated Masters Club Dinner and gee it makes me hungry!

Serve me up a Texas ribeye steak Scottie my boy!

Weekend Golf

  • This weeks PGA tour heads to the Innsbrook Resort in Palm Harbor Florida for the Valspar Championship. Sam Burns is looking to go back-back-back at the Copperhead course. If he manages to pull it of he will be the first player since Steve Stricker, doing it at the John Deere Classic in 2009, 2010 and 2011.

  • Money is always a talking point and this week is no different. The total purse for the Valspar Championship is $8.1 million which is a $300k jump from last year. The top 10 payouts are as follows:

    1. $1,458,000
    2. $882,900
    3. $558,900
    4. $396,900
    5. $332,100
    6. $293,625
    7. $273,375
    8. $253,125
    9. $236,925
    10. $220,725

  • LIV golf fires up on the American shores this week. The first of eight tournaments will be held at The South Course, Gallery Golf Club. The players will all be out to catch Charles Howell III and take home the $4 million dollar first prize.

  • A par 72, John Foughts design key holes to watch:

No. 8. The 156m eighth is the shortest hole on the course, and the architect’s personal favorite par-3 hole. Plenty of risk and reward depending on the pin location.

No. 10. The 468m 10th plays as a par 5 for members, but will be a par 4 this week. It offers players a variety of options with a split fairway.

No. 4. The 453m par-4 fourth is one of just two holes on the course with a water feature, although it likely will not come into play for the pros. Even so, it’s arguably the South course’s best par 4 on the front side.

Take your game to the next level

About: Every golfer is unique. Not only do you have your own style of playing the game but also your own style on the course. When we set foot on the links back in 2011, between the collared shirts and pleated khakis, it was tough to show any personal style. With such tightly monitored dress codes we decided to add some flavor to your bag. We started crafting unique head covers that helped you and your clubs stand out with your own personal style.

We are Seamus Golf. A family-owned group of like-minded artisans drawn together to craft products that connect golfers to the game. As we enter year 12, we continue as a Woman and Minority owned independent company crafting all of our products in the Pacific Northwest. Our founders, Megan and Akbar Chisti, are determined to continue creating trendsetting golf accessories while staying true to the authentic spirit of the sport.
