About
Born in Zeitz, Germany, Hellmut Röhnisch started his life's journey in 1916. Escaping Nazi Germany with two friends, he traveled through various countries, finally reaching Sweden. Not only did he find a new home, but also love with the Swedish beauty, Margareta. They both shared a passion for gymnastics. In fact, right after becoming a Swedish citizen in 1945, Hellmut won a gold medal for gymnastics.
Fast forward to the '80s, Röhnisch, inspired by actress Jane Fonda's aerobic trend, decided to expand into women's active apparel. They introduced microfiber in activewear, a game-changer! This super-soft material keeps you cool, dry, and most importantly, moving freely.
Röhnisch lives by their empowering motto: "For women, by women." With an all-female design team, they're not just creating clothes; they're crafting confidence. They've been at it for 75 years, making sure every piece, whether it's golfwear or activewear, flatters all body types, from XS to 3XL.
They are also making significant progress in sustainability. Röhnisch is carefully considering every aspect, from sourcing materials, in order to create a greener footprint. They are tracking their entire supply chain, from the farms that provide the raw materials to the factories that assemble the final product.
Why we like them:
Durability: Given their longstanding reputation in activewear, one can expect the same durability and quality in their golf apparel, ensuring longevity even with frequent wear.
Dedicated Design: With an all-female design team, they truly understand the female body. Their designs over the last 75 years have been refined to fit and flatter women of all shapes and sizes.
Innovative: The brand has been at the forefront of innovation. From introducing the "Sockiplast" in the 1950s to being pioneers in using microfiber for activewear, they've consistently revolutionised the market.

Luke Donald The European team for the Rome Ryder Cup has been finalised. Captain Luke Donald's picks are Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Sepp Straka, Shane Lowry, Ludvig Aberg, and Nicolai Hojgaard, joining stars like Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. While Rose and Lowry had consistent performances, Aberg's recent win at the Omega European Masters emphasised his inclusion. The last pick saw Nicolai Hojgaard chosen over Adrian Meronk due to Hojgaard's recent form. (Link)
Anne Van Dam At the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, Anne van Dam's backup driver broke on the way to the playoff hole due to a mishap with a rope. Her primary driver was earlier damaged during a flight. Forced to use a 3-wood in the playoff, she missed an eagle putt. This allowed Smilla Tarning Soenderby to clinch the title. Van Dam hasn't won an LET event since 2019. (Link)
Ludvig Aberg, having turned professional just four months ago, secured a significant win at the Omega European Masters. His victory boosted him from 200th to 90th in world rankings. Despite early skepticism, his talent shone through at Crans-Montana, outperforming seasoned golfers. During his college tenure at Texas Tech, Aberg won several titles and became the first to receive a PGA TOUR card due to collegiate merit. As he prepares for the upcoming Ryder Cup, many anticipate him to continue his impressive streak. (Link)
