About
In 2018, a company set out to challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas to the game we all love. Their name is Vollē (pronounced 'vo-lee'), and they are on a mission to elevate your potential and revolutionise golf equipment.
It all started with New Zealand's first premium direct-to-consumer golf ball, but Vollē's ambitions reach far beyond that. They aim to launch a new generation of golf equipment, designed with intention and purpose, catered to the golfer of tomorrow. Their goal is to be known for quality products that push boundaries and bring you closer to the game.
Vollē takes its inspiration from flight and speed, two essential elements of golf performance. The brand's logo captures the sense of motion and direction, drawing inspiration from Hermes' winged helmet, symbolising speed. When placed on the golf ball itself, the 'V' letterform becomes a shorthand brand motif that represents Vollē's dynamic and innovative approach.
Speaking of golf balls, Vollē's tour-level golf balls compete head-to-head with the most renowned premium ball brands on the market, but without the hefty price tags. How do they do it? By streamlining the manufacturing process and cutting out unnecessary costs in the supply chain. This allows them to bring you high-performance golf balls at competitive prices, without compromising on quality.
To ensure top-notch quality control, Vollē subjects all their golf balls to rigorous testing. They benchmark themselves against the best by having their final products tested at Golf Laboratories Inc, an independent equipment testing firm based in California. With state-of-the-art robotic testing and advanced launch monitors, Golf Laboratories can capture precise swing and flight data, guaranteeing the performance of Vollē's golf balls.
But Vollē's innovation doesn't stop there. They have also introduced a game-changing product to help reduce waste and promote sustainability. They have partnered with GreenUp to create a biodegradable golf tee made from upcycled coffee grounds and biomaterials. By repurposing coffee waste and incorporating biodegradable materials, they offer a tee that is both eco-friendly and durable. And as an added bonus, these tees even smell like your morning coffee!
At Vollē, golf is more than just a game; it's a passion, a way of life, and an obsession. Their mission is to bring you closer to your love for golf. Whether it's their high-performance golf balls or their commitment to sustainability, Vollē is here to enhance your golfing experience and push the boundaries of what's possible on the course.

The Short Par 4
For those short on time
Rickie Fowler's triumphant victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic ended his four-year drought. With a 12-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole, Fowler sealed his sixth career PGA Tour title. It had been 1,610 days since his last win, the longest dry spell of his Tour career. Fowler's resurgence began after reuniting with his former instructor, Butch Harmon. In the past 10 months, he has steadily climbed the rankings, finishing in the top 20 in 12 out of 15 starts this year. Despite facing challenges, Fowler's unwavering confidence and exceptional play have propelled him back to the winner's circle.

At almost 66 years old, Bernhard Langer defied expectations by winning his 46th senior victory at the US Senior Open, surpassing Hale Irwin's record. Langer emerged victorious against tough competition, including local favorites Steve Stricker and Jerry Kelly. Despite bogeying his final three holes, Langer finished two strokes ahead of Stricker and three strokes ahead of Kelly. This marked his 12th senior major championship and second US Senior Open win. Langer credited his accurate driving and consistent fairway shots for his success. While acknowledging his physical limitations, he remained optimistic about his longevity, citing his mother's upcoming 100th birthday as a testament to his good genes.
Richard Bland received a slow-play penalty on the 15th hole. Bland took his time preparing for the shot, including using a rangefinder, studying his yardage book, and taking practice swings. However, his first stroke exceeded the allowed time limit, resulting in a one-stroke penalty. Bland finished the hole with a score of five. Slow-play penalties are infrequent in professional golf, with the last known one occurring at the 2021 PGA Championship. Brooks Koepka, who also plays for LIV Golf, has been vocal about addressing slow play and suggested penalising players who take excessively long. LIV Golf supported the penalty imposed on Bland, emphasising the importance of maintaining an appropriate pace of play.
Tiger Woods has responded to the recently released documents in a pending antitrust lawsuit against the PGA Tour. The documents, part of the lawsuit brought by attorney Larry Klayman, include talking points prepared for Woods for a players' meeting at the 2022 Travelers Championship. However, Woods stated on Twitter that he did not attend the meeting and was unaware of the document until recently. The talking points instructed Woods to show support for Tour commissioner Jay Monahan, compare the meeting to a player-only huddle at the Ryder Cup, and emphasize the importance of defending the PGA Tour. Woods also expressed his desire for his son, Charlie, to become a PGA Tour member in the future. Woods did not comment on his recovery from surgery or the recently announced framework agreement between the Tour, DP World Tour, and PIF.
